Sauce Spirits and Sound Bar is a brand new restaurant and live music venue on the corner of Lake and Lyndale. Sauce is a rock club that doesn't feel exclusive or pretentious like some of the other live venues in the city. It's a great place to check out emerging local bands and DJ's without leaving Uptown or paying a stiff cover, you can even buy local records from a vending machine inside of the bar. There are two full bars, dine in and take out menu's, and kitchen that keeps rocking until 1:30 in the morning. The great Italian menu is full of old world recipes that are equally delicious and economical. In no time this place will be a staple of the Uptown scene.

Wow, Band was awesome, super loud though, food was over priced and tasted like it had been cooked and cooked and cooked. The red sauce was a dark brown and tasted burnt. Server just thought she was so cute, and really didn't have a clue on how to wait on tables. Drinks kept sittin at the bar as she would walk by 3-4 times without picking them up. We finally got up and grabbed them ourselves.

I like both bars! Sauce is bringing a lot to the neighborhood (although it'll be interesting to see if they can hold their own when the Uptown re-opens) and you gotta respect the Country Bar for being there so long, both are diverse bars with great people working there! I always have a great time @ both! Just have fun!

Homeless people are way more interesting than a bunch of stupid hipsters who have a boner for graffiti even though they know nothing of the culture, shitty bands, and tiny, too-expensive portions of food."Oooh aren't I raw, I shave the side of my head ooooh I'm rich and I'm from Eagan but shhh it's a secret". You can get $2.50 tall cans of PBR anywhere! Suckers.

This place is awesome. They have cheap drinks (2.50 tall boys on Happy Hour!) Really interesting art up and a nice patio that's good for people watching. I always feel welcome here cause the staff are so friendly.

I love this place. Drinks are great, and cheap! I love the artwork they display. The jukebox is free, and there's live local music in the next room. Employees are the best. Atmosphere is great. The people who go there are classy (unlike the country bar).
