Mortimer’s bar is popular with the more “hippy? clientele and blue collars. They have multiple foosball tables, pinball, and arcade games and are well known for this aspect. A lot of the regulars don’t really even come in for the drinks, they prefer to put their heads down to the foos table. Those not playing foosball are usually pretty friendly.

The bar itself is actually quite large and has 3 main rooms and bars, making it pretty easy to get a seat and/or drink, even though its also usually packed, especially on the weekends. Although Mortimer’s isn’t too unique (it’s your typical dive bar), that seems to be what workers and what the owners are trying for. Overall, it’s worth a visit during the week for strong drinks and good specials.

My friends and I wanted to escape our usual hangouts in yuptown and had a great time at Mort's. We ended up at the middle bar up a half flight of stairs which has these cool old fashioned stained glass ceilings and has it's own seating area separate from the main bar. $1.50 shots and late night pitcher specials were great deals and the bartender poured excellent mixed drinks which I believe were on special until 10:30

this is a great place to meet cool people.the bartenders are great!strong drinks great food some home made(pizza,chilli etc.and lots of good games!it could use patio seating.

Ewe. This bar smells like death. It's dark and dingy. It's a whirlwind of excrackheads and exhipsters out to pasture. Great. Pop that kernel of free popcorn into your mouth through the hole of where your front tooth used to be. Best thing about this bar is the hand dryer- it's pretty cool.

Don't forget to order a Coney Dog! At a buck fifty they are Mortimer's dirty little secret. I can eat 3 of them in under a minute. Yum.
