French Meadow Bakery is a great gourmet alternative to pretty much everything else on Lyndale Ave. It’s mostly a restaurant, but does offer a wide selection of wines and bottled beers. They have incredible food, a great brunch, and tasty deserts. We really have to give them props on the food, enough said. It’s not much of a party place or if you are up for any late nights, but it is great for dinner or brunch. We definitely recommend it if you are up for something a bit more tasty and on the lighter side.

All of their food is amazing if you appreciate natural food without corn syrup & hydrogenated garbage. Yes, they are more pricey than Subway, but the food quality and atmosphere is unbeatable. If you are looking for a dollar menu, go elsewhere, but if you want a wonderful, low-key date, stop here. My wife and I frequent this location and in the MSP airport.

LOVE this place. I disagree with people that it's not worth the money - the food is amazing, and I've never had a problem with the wait staff (and I'm there at least once a week!). Wine specials have changed now - they no longer do 1/2 priced bottles on Saturday, but now do them Sunday through Wednesday. Great deal!

Amazing dinner. I had this wonderful pasta special with duck confit. I guess they do a pasta special every night, but they had some other pastas on the menu too.
