The Country Bar & Grill is a long-time resident of the Lyn-Lake corner in Uptown Minneapolis.

It's tough to find a time when the libations could be considered "pricey" or even on par with typical prices in the area, as the owners feature great specials throughout the day for both food and drinks. The Country bar is in a class of it's own in Uptown Minneapolis.

If you check out the bar early in the day when it's slow, it seems like the kind of bar you'd find in any rural Midwestern town. There are chandeliers made out of deer antlers and much of the decor fits that same aesthetic. With the drinks priced far below average it seems almost as if you had been teleported 100 miles outside the Cities. When it's busy at night the patrons take full advantage of the scene, and it always seems that clientele are there to party. Check out the DJ's (Mon, Tues 9pm- 1:30am) and Karaoke (W-Sa at 9pm- 1:30am.) The Country Bar has it all when it comes to making you feel comfortable. No "snootieness" or attitude here! Come as you are and join the mixed age/mixed dressed crowd enjoying the time spent in the bar.

More:No checks, but all credit cards and ATM. Under new ownership who are doing a great job with improvements. There are now a few specialty cocktails and new games.

Thrifty Tip- Monday through Friday- Noon to 3pm - 3 Wings and a 12oz Beer just $3.75

Parking Free lot parking behind the white house (just south of the bar), enter from lyndale or alley.

It's a pretty O.K. bar, there's some shady folks there who will hustle you out of your dart quarters, and some really grumpy cooks who hate their jobs/lives, but the wings are pretty good and the horrible karaoke singers are always a hoot!

Im not to sure what CaliGirl86 below is talking about. The DJ that took over for the old ones is far more diverse. He may not play much vinyl, but his music mixes are from all over the map. The only time that he seems to play more HipHop is at the the end of the night when the party is jumpin........ You will hear music on these nights that now one else in the city is playing.....

Stop in on Mon or Tue Night for the best genre mix of music that Uptown has the offer. Happy Hour all day and night. Music starts at 10pm. Jimi Hendrix, Common, MJ, James Brown, KRS One, Prince, Bob Marley and all his kids, The Roots, Chilli Peppers, Gap Band, Brother Ali, Marvin Gaye, Kredentials, No Doubt, Atmosphere, Ray Charles, Led Zepppelin, Local Music, Chaka Khan, Rock, Funk, Pop, HipHop, Reggea, R&B, Soul, Motown, Alternetive, Punk, and a Lil Country.........

Just moved in to the neighborhood, love the nummy wings here they are like crack! Me and my girls like dancing to the DJs and Karaoke! The only thing is the DJ guy plays the same music all the time, I wish he would broaden his taste, he just plays whats on the radio. And if you call yourself a "Country" bar you should at least TRY to get to know your targeted clientele! Toooo much hip-hop!

Love the Country Bar! Chill, mixed crowd, strong drinks, decent food, and cheap prices!
