The new management really has their priorities in the wrong place. I know for a fact that a lady got barred for posting her opinion on facebook. I also know for a fact that the new manager replaced at least one bartender with his son. He's also the same manager that ran Tejas into the ground. Bar Abilene better make some changes quick and maybe they can restore it to the fun neighborhood bar/restaurant it used to be.

The new management is rude, and the food is bad. I heard that they banned a customer for posting some negative comments on Facebook. Is that even legal? It certainly is poor business judgement.

Amazing what they have done with the place. NOTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go.

This place has gone downhill fast. It used to be a fun, casual bar to go to for a burger and a beer. The food was decent, but nothing too special, but they had awesome happy hour and the staff was friendly and fun. It was a good neighborhood place that I'd go to regularly, and probably spent thousands of dollars there over the years. But lately this place is really starting to suck. They have a new chef that apparently can't even make a grilled cheese sandwich, and they have a new manager who seems to want to turn the place into a reincarnation of Tejas. Well guess what, there's a reason why Tejas closed, because Tejas SUCKED. Bar Abilene was fun, but now it's becoming just another overpriced restaurant with mediocre food. A friend of mine even complained about some of the changes, and Bar Abilene's response was to ban her from the restaurant. Yeh, that's good customer service. I swear that the new management is trying to drive the place out of business.

It is apparent that there has been changeover in management over the past several months. It use to be a good experience to dine there, but it is apparent that the new management does not treat their employees well at all. We will never dine there again and no longer recommend anyone else to go to there either. I am very disappointed with the new management
