Azia is a great new bar and was recently voted "Best Late Night Eats" by the Citypages, offering a full menu until 2 am. After eating here, I know why. Owner and chef have been given high marks for the food and concept in magazines as prestigious as Bon Appetite.
Azia specializes in upscale high-quality (obviously Asian) bistro style food. They stress atmosphere, presentation, and unmatched excellent service. Their Cranberry Puffs are excellent (and ½ priced during happy hour) as is the wide range of seafood and sauces. Although the entrees are a bit pricey ($15-25) they are definitely worth the splurge.
Inside seating is ample and comfortable in the hip-NY-East village-type way. Just try ordering a Mai Thai or any of their special martinis with mango or lechee infusions if you want something special. Azia also has outdoor seating, although it’s next to the street. Next door at the Caterpillar Lounge (accessible from the inside) they also have live DJ music nightly (lounge, jazz, retro), and a upscale, young professional, hip clientele. Come here for food, then stay to enjoy the pleasant feeling only 3 mango mojitos can give you.

I love this place but it's definitely true that if you're not hot and dressed super hip, you don't get very good service. I've been in there on a Saturday afternoon in jeans and been shuffled from my table and not gotten that much waitstaff attention. If I go in on a Friday night, dressed up, I get a great table and great service. For this, I can't give them 5 stars... I have to drop their rating for this snobbery--they don't even try to hide it!

Wonderful place but way too overpriced. I love sitting outside and having cocktails but the prices are way too high. Again, a wonderful place, I just wish I could afford it more often.

If we say the sushi's spoiled, then it is. We don't need a 5 minute lecture on why we're wrong. We're your guests. Definitely my last visit.

Love the place, although it is a little pricey. (Some) of the entrees are certainly worth it, but I personally like the sushi better than the asian fusion menu. As far as the different rooms and having worked as a hostess myself, you don't really get seated based upon what you're wearing but rather the count for the servers since they usually want to maintain an even count for all of them. So keep that in mind! Anyway, great food, excellent happy hour deals on apps and cocktails, sake, etc. All around good and delicious place to eat.
