The Happy Gnome is a pleasent hangout in St. Paul known for their exceptional beers(140, about 40 on Tap), chill-attitude owners/staff, and great patio. The Gnome is very popular with people from the neighborhood and a long list of regulars that come for top shelf liquors or to try any number of micro-brewed beers.
They've also started to get noticed for the food. Great heaping plates of gourmet bar food including fresh cut fries, burgers, pastas, and pizzas.
Music ranges from the Grateful Dead and jazz to today's Top 40, but they do an excellent job of finding something everyone will like, so don't worry about not liking the music here.
