The hip wxyz bar is a modern open hotel lounge bar immediately in the entry of the aloft hotel in the Minneapolis Mill District. Its open, laid-back atmosphere is immediately apparent from the design to the staff; really high ceilings, big glass windows, colorful furniture and couches, and friendly, unpretentious bartenders make wxyz bar a great hangout. The bar itself lights up with little LED's while the guests do what they want; sit at the bar, play pool on a free pool table, work on a laptop, or play hungry hungry hippo (wxyz bar has a ton of board games for you to use)... Everything goes!

The drink list is extensive, featuring a decent amount of variety to their top shelf spirits. wxyz bar also serves only local beers on tap, so you can come here for your Summit and Lieni, but the real feature of the bar is their infusions and specialty elixirs (available at a discount during late night happy hour).

This bar is always alive with good looking women and has a great vibe. I enjoy its selection of top shelf liquors.

The food was good and pretty cheap, during happy hour. Lots of cool decor. My only problem was looking at the bar made me feel like I was on an acid trip.

I like this place for happy hour and the specialty drinks are great (coming from a guy who almost always despises fake-ass "martinis"). But not all of them are half-off during happy hour, only the top three or so.

This place is excellent. It's like hanging out in your parent's basement in highschool only there's endless booze and the chips aren't stale.

its ok, the concept is cool and you feel cool there, but it lacks lighting warmth because its in the middle of the hotel lobby and the bartender was MIA for a good portion of the evening, making it hard to get a drink. The games are cool, they are scattered around the bar, so just wander and find what you want to play.
